Double Elimination was so well received last time we’re doing it again! If you are planning to go to the Michigan Summer Championship this will be the perfect warm-up! Social players are welcome as always. You don't have to play in the tournament to swing by and play friendly games.
Join us for the next Steel City tournament. We need at least 8 players to run this event.
Registration starts at 12:30, play starts at 1:00pm.
$20 entry, $10 optional side pool, 100% return.
We’ll play Double Elimination with Progressive Fighter’s Bracket.
Assuming at least 8 players, we will pay 1st and 2nd place (approx 2/3 1/3) and third place gets some awesome Steel City swag. The side pool goes to the side pool player making it the furthest in the tournament.
This is double elimination with no “grand final”. (it takes too long) There will be two brackets:
- Undefeated - 7 point matches - all players start here. The winner of this bracket gets 1st place money for the tournament and you’re done.
- Fighters - 5 point matches - you enter this bracket after your first loss. Progressive: you will be placed in a round corresponding to the round you lost in. The winner of the fighters bracket gets 2nd place money for the tournament. The loser in the fighters final gets 3rd place.
The tournament will use Steel City Tournament Rules. Clocks are not required but if you have a clock please bring it.
